Dimensional letters are frequently used in both indoor and outdoor business signs.  As with most products, dimensional letters are available in a variety of materials and quality.

Let's say you have a sign that has dimensional letters on it and those letters are falling off or falling apart. Why? Well, the short answer is that the letters were constructed from inferior materials!  The photo below came from a client's old lobby sign - as the brushed metal faces would fall off, they kept trying to glue them back in place.  You can see that the intention was to have a great looking sign adding value and prestige to this law firm's reception area.  The old sign certainly detracted from that desired look.

The letters were made in such a way that the product wouldn’t last the length of time the customer wanted the sign to last.

So, what's the recommended type of letter to be used?  In most cases, we recommend dimensional letters (laser-cut acrylic, flat cut metals, molded plastic letters, etc.) that feature a lifetime warranty within the letters' recommended use and that also covers any paint or surface treatment.

These dimensional letters not only can stand the test of time when it comes to quality, but they also will look great over time!
