Vehicle wrap and design for Robertson Family Water

Posted on October 07, 2013 | Posted by Brooke Randell

When Robertson Family Water asked us to design a new wrap and yard signs for them we dove right in (pun intended). They said they wanted something a little different that was fun while still looking corporate and professional. We tried to oblige! We wanted to stay true to the Roberston Family brand but make it look crisper, cleaner, and more vibrant. Here's a little before-and-after:
vehicle wrap, fleet vehicle, branding

Before: Text, water filters, and bubbly water.

vehicle wrap, car wrap, partial wrap

After: All of the same elements were updated, and we added photo art we were sent of the Robertson grandchildren.

Our designers wanted to create a high-definition look for the vehicle so they split the design work between several different design programs. Most of the images like the water, bubbles, and filters were designed in Photoshop and the text and logos were done in Illustrator. This helped keep the art looking crisp with "crazy bright colors." Another element that made a big difference in creating the HD look is that we used an actual photograph for the water which we edited and tweaked rather than creating a digital print of water.

Look at that water! Don't you just want to jump in it?

The whole thing has a sort of '60s beach look to me, especially because the fonts are a modern take on a retro feel. Maybe we'll call this the Elvis-in-Hawaii-look?...Beach Blanket Boardroom?...We'll think of something :) We tried to continue that feeling in the Robertson Family Water fence signs we designed as well.

The "As low as $49 a month!" looks like it could be straight off of a Beach Boys album cover.

We wanted to visually associate all of the Robertson Family Water advertising to help potential clients link all of the campaigns together. On these fence signs we repeated the water effect and the fonts from the vehicle wrap. We also included the image of the yellow lawn posts Robertson Family Water uses to advertise.

Amazingly this project didn't take us very long at all. It only took a day and a half to manufacture the graphics and a day and a half to install the vehicle wrap. All in all, the whole project only took one week from design to completion!
