This week’s project is our 24-hour design, production, and installation of indoor retail signs for The Competitive Edge of Cool Springs Eyecare!

The Competitive Edge is a sports vision training facility—a niche that’s becoming more and more popular in the eyecare business. It’s not enough to have 20/20 vision; an athlete needs to have great depth perception, use of peripheral vision, quick processing skills, and stellar hand-eye-coordination. Athletes of all ages can be trained on these skills at The Competitive Edge. It's basically the touchdown of marketing ideas for an eyecare company!

This totally sounds like something that would be in a preview for an action movie: "Welcome...to The Edge." *cue the Inception horns*

We were approached by Cool Springs Eyecare to create lettering and signage for them right before they were about to have a grand opening. They suggested that we could put up temporary lettering and come back and reinstall after the opening. We figured out, though, that it would save them time and money for us to install the signs that day. So, from the word “go” to having everything on the walls only took 24 hours!

Thankfully we work with some awesome vendors and had supplies on hand so, despite the time constraint, our team was able to design, create, and install the acrylic lettering and the logo sign without a hitch in one day. We used laser cut 1/4" acrylic in a silver that matched the hardware for the door with the lettering above the door. Red, white, blue, and clear acrylic for the logo signs that were mounted next to the doors.

 The raised acrylic design looks professional and is substantial enough to last for a long time.

All in all we thought this was a really fun project and are pleased with the way it turned out. We hope to do many more similar projects in the future—maybe next time in only 12 hours :)
