12-Point SignWorks' Signage Projects Of The Week

Experiential Graphics and Branding Bring New Life to Neches Federal Credit Union

If you haven't noticed, there's a name we tend to throw around a lot when it comes to collaborations. There's a good reason for that. Quite a few good reasons, actually. Some things that come to mind when we think of NewGround are quality, color, and creativity. The bold experiential graphics and branding they've brought us for fabrication and installation partnerships are some of our favorite projects.

Experiential Graphics and Branding A mutual appreciation for strategy and creativity is why NewGround and 12-Point SignWorks consistently design and deliver quality work together.

Looking back, the majority of our collaborations with NewGround have been for banks and credit unions across the country. They've all had one thing in common, though: an expert use of experiential graphics to make them feel more like the company culture than a financial institution. Our most recent project with NewGround is no exception.

In July, Pat and Natalie traveled with three of our installers down to Port Neches, TX for a complete graphic rebranding throughout the Neches Federal Credit Union. Given its size, we'll be breaking this Project of the Week into multiple parts.

History Wall

Speaking of size… The first thing you notice when walking into the Neches Federal Credit Union is the history wall that runs the length, AND HEIGHT, of the entire wall to your left. Not only does it tell the story of how the Neches FCU came to be, it also sets the tone and color scheme for the rest of the project.

Experiential Graphics and Branding The Neches Federal Credit Union has a history stretching back all the way to the 1950s. With painted acrylic elements and black PVC panels with digitally printed graphic faces, we were able to tell that story.

The graphic mural section of the history wall measures a whopping 35' 2" x 24’ 11". We digitally printed the full-coverage wallcovering on 3M adhesive-backed vinyl with a knit textured laminate finish for the base layer. After prepping the wall, the vinyl graphic wallcovering was applied.

The logo is fabricated from a combination of painted metal, digitally printed appliqués, and painted acrylic. It hangs about halfway up the wall, flush-mounted to the wall with studs. The logomark measures almost 53" square, the "neches" is 21" tall, and the "FEDERAL CREDIT UNION" measures at just 7" but still makes a visual impact.

Experiential Graphics and Branding Carried throughout the Magnolia Administration branch, the brand colors used in the mural set the tone for this project.

More to Come

The impressive history and logo wall that greets you upon entry at Neches Federal Credit Union is just the beginning. What makes the collaboration between 12-Point SignWorks and NewGround work so well is our mutual respect for experiential graphics and branding. We understand how they can breathe new life into a company. You'd be surprised by their ability to improve consumer opinion and boost employee morale. The Neches Federal Credit Union collaboration is a fantastic example of that.

We installed graphics and signage in customer-facing areas like reception and collections as well as employee-only areas like the training room and on-site call center. In our next Project of the Week, we'll cover the rest of our Neches Federal Credit Union collaboration with NewGround.

If the sight of that custom branded mural makes you want to do something similar for your business, just leave us a message or give us a call!
