12-Point SignWorks' Signage Projects Of The Week

The Team Goes to Hawaii: Exotic Location for a NewGround Collaboration

A few of our more recent Project of the Week adventures have had our team installing signage designed and created by other companies that just weren’t able to make it down to our neck of the woods to complete the installation. In some cases, we would likely do the same. For instance, if it’s just a small sign or one vehicle needing an advertising wrap, the travel costs would likely outweigh the job. However, for a big job like the experiential branding projects we collaborate with NewGround on, there’s no way our team would let something like travel costs get in the way of their chance to go to Hawaii!

And so began the 12Point team’s adventure in Hawaii, collaborating with NewGround on a massive branding project for Maui County Federal Credit Union. The FCU had outgrown its main office and was in dire need of a new headquarters. NewGround designed and built a space from the ground up that could handle not only Maui County FCU’s current growth but any future expansion as well. From conception to development, NewGround built the 27,000 sq. ft. facility to reflect an appreciation of the employees and credit union members.

12Point SignWorks and NewGround have worked together on so many corporate branding projects that everyone can jump in and get started on making the client's vision a reality.

No detail was spared, with the design bringing the outside in on this custom-cut window vinyl that mimics the flow of the ocean. It provides a touch of privacy for the offices surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass without sacrificing any of the beautiful natural light Hawaii is famous for.

“We Care.” That’s what the words that hang in the welcome vestibule of the on-site FCU branch mean. “Målama Kåkou.” Not only is it the motto exhibited by the FCU towards its members and employees, but it’s also a phrase that has a very deep meaning for the island. Our team took great care in mounting these letters to the wall to greet everyone who walked through the doors so they, too, would know that “We Care.”

With such a massive project, there’s no way we could have covered everything here in one piece. So be sure to come back next week for the rest of the team’s adventures in Hawaii with NewGround! Until then, give us a call so we can start designing your next big branding project. We promise to still be just as excited even if it's not in Hawaii.
