We frequently talk about car wraps and vehicle graphics as being an extremely effective way to create "rolling billboards" for mobile advertising.

One of the biggest of these "billboards" is the ubiquitous box truck we see around town and on the highways.

Keep in mind that a box truck wrap isn't only effective when the truck is on the road - think about the hundreds of impressions per hour or day that your business can have when the truck is simply parked at your facility in between deliveries!

Note the creative idea to let air out of the tires to make sure the truck would clear the ceiling!

Although a box truck wrap is generally applied over relatively flat surfaces, there are often rivets or screw heads that need special attention from the wrap installers.  This can be a bit tedious, but it's important to pay special attention in these regions in order to minimize the tendency the vinyl wrap has to want to pop up right around the head of the rivet/screw.

It's also important, as with any vehicle wrap, to let your wrap installers know ahead of time whether the vehicle has recently been repaired and repainted.  Fresh paint will need to cure for at a minimum several days (and depending upon the paint, a few weeks) before vinyl is applied.  It's not uncommon to find that the adhesion of new paint to the repaired surfaces is inferior to the original paint.

An alternative to a full wrap including the cab is to use a combination of a box truck wrap with cut vinyl lettering on the cab.  Given the additional contours and hardware on the cab, this approach can be quite cost effective.  The example at right shows this type of treatment and was still visually successful.
