Looking to put a little “Wow!” into your front lobby or office? Custom lobby signs make an immediate visual impression of your brand and of the quality of service and professionalism your clients and potential customers can expect from you.
Many business owners will put a sign outside of the business or on a vehicle to let people know where they are located, but they forget to complete the look with signage inside their business. Whether you own a restaurant, a body shop or a financial advisory firm, custom interior signage is a must.
Whether you need informational signs to let your customer know what services and products you offer or if you want to have your logo “in lights,” custom indoor signs are can have a significant impact on customers’ experience with your brand. Logo, architectural and directional signs can be created in many different styles, applications and materials.
It’s typical to use your company logo in a 2D format such as on letterhead, shirts, as well as in regular advertising media such as posters, banners and standard signs. Why not consider using some of the many ways in which your logo and message can become three-dimensional to further enhance your branding and the strength of the impression you leave with your clients?
One of the most common ways to add some character to interior signs is to use dimensional letters and logos. These pieces are made out of many different types of materials including metal, acrylic, foam and PVC. Each has its own unique set of qualities that affect the cost, weight and look of the final product. Some are available in a variety of stock type styles, and others can be custom made to include your logo or the particular font your company uses.
In addition to using dimensional letters to dress up the interior of your business, you can also use materials such as stained or painted wood, aluminum, acrylic, PVC or even glass as an attractive, contrasting background for your main image. Using a background for the sign provides one more way to customize the sign while simultaneously minimizing the number of attachment points to your wall (this becomes important when you have to move to a bigger space after your company has grown!). An effective way to create one more level of dimensionality is to separate the background piece from the front portion of the sign using “stand-off” hardware such as the satin finish cylindrical stand-offs in the picture below.
Given the many material combinations and fabrication options available, custom lobby signs are fun to design and create! This type of sign will help create memorable impressions when customers visit your business.
