The successful Gardner School organization opened its latest facility on Sept. 7 in the Cool Springs area of Franklin, TN. The project plans called for a variety of sign types, and we found several ways to reduce the project budget by thousands of dollars while still providing some great looking custom signs.
A 36" round bronze plaque with the school logo was intended for placement in the upper gable of the school's front elevation. The General Contractor and the school's CEO asked us to find alternatives to true bronze. A few options were explored, and the team agreed to use sandblasted and painted HDU sign foam. You can see it close up and installed in the images below.
The plans also called for a second bronze plaque located at the entrance. As another creative and cost-effective alternative, we suggested the use of matte black vinyl and metallic gold vinyl in combination with black standoffs to create a bronze look-a-like.
The school's monument sign required metal dimensional letters for the address number and school name. The letters are cut by a water jet in order to provide custom details, and they were fastened to the sign with adhesive.
To round out the sign package, we provided several ADA signs (engraved with raised Braille lettering) for various inside door applications, reflective parking lot signs, and Grand Opening banners.
Whether your school is new or needs new signs, we'll work with you to identify cost-effective options that will help your budget while still providing attractive custom school signs.
