3 Great Ways to use vinyl letters & graphics for custom signage

Posted on June 09, 2011 | Posted by Katelyn Johns

Vinyl letters and graphics create effective business signs for labeling marketing and even decorating. Vinyl lettering is the hot topic nowadays! Where can I put vinyl letters? How long will they last? Where is the limit to this madness??

Here are 3 cool ways to use vinyl letters and graphics for your custom business signage.

1. Car graphics: One client (Spanky's Driving Academy) used vinyl lettering to advertise his business on his car. We didn't need to wrap the whole vehicle to get the message across. Graphic design was used in the name to create symbolism - the "Y" looks like a winding road, for his student driving business. How long would vinyl lettering stay on this car? Several years if applied right!

2. Floor graphics: Another client (EPO - Floors) used vinyl in a totally differet and creative way - with concrete design! In this case, we made a vinyl logo template that EPO Floors used to protect the color of concrete beneath while they painted the rest of the floor a different color. This effect turned out way cool! Customers' eyes will be attracted to this floor design.

3. Wall and window graphics: One client used vinyl lettering to advertise both inside and outside the store with matching vinyl lettering. The font we used for this particular project reflects the personality of the store, with it's soft brown tones and creative atmosphere.

How long will vinyl on glass last? Just like the car, vinyl on glass will last several years.

What about internal walls? Depending on the surface it is put on and the quality of the vinyl, these letters could also last several years.

This summer, consider using vinyl letters for your custom business signage! Not only can vinyl be applied in many different places, but it can also last a long time. Which of the 3 ideas will you start with?
