We enjoyed the opportunity last year to work with Birdsong Creative in the fabrication and installation of outdoor retail signs for "It's Vintage, Baby!" on the Square in downtown historic Franklin TN (read more about these custom dimensional signs).  A neighboring business, "boutique MMM" - a retailer of fine ladies shoes, also needed custom outdoor signs to let local traffic know they're open for business!

We had the opportunity to work on both outdoor and indoor business signs for this new retail location for fine women's shoes that are difficult to find elsewhere in the Nashville market.  Alphagraphics of Franklin developed the brightly colored pink and green logo, and we had fun using the logo in a few different ways to create attractive outdoor signs, window signs, and even interior logo signs.

The exterior logo sign was fabricated using custom painted acrylic letters and an exterior grade sign panel with a dark grey vinyl color complementary to the building's paint color.  The sign was attached to the building using attractive aluminum fixtures (read more regarding architectural sign hardware like this).

 We also used the logo artwork to create "digitally printed die-cut vinyl appliques" - full color, cut to shape, logo decals that became window signs on the primary and side windows for additional branding and advertising to pedestrians and car traffic.  We used a high quality vinyl and a protective laminate layer to give these vinyl window logo signs several years worth of life.

To complete the logo signage used in the double store entrance, we created a custom OPEN flag - it's hard not to know when the store is open now!

In order to install these signs, we prepared the application and artwork proofs to be reviewed by the Franklin Historic Zoning Commission.  With that certificate of approval, we were able to submit to the City of Franklin for a standard sign permit.
