Architectural building signage for a new bank branch

Posted on July 18, 2012 | Posted by Murray Johns

Although the needs for architectural signage will differ between different businesses and building layouts, we put together an attractive combination of unique sign types for a new bank branch that opened in our home town of Franklin TN.  Here's a photo of the branch's official Grand Opening event!

The exterior was branded with a sandblasted redwood sign stained and painted to coordinate with the developer's color selections for the building's trim and hardwood doors.  In keeping with the need to provide "classy" signage for this upscale neighborhood, an ornate metal "sandwich" sign is used to communicate bank events and promotions.

The bank's hours of operation are communicated in a branded sign posted outside the front doors.  The faux bronze sign was fabricated to look like a custom bronze plaque, but it was actually made with less expensive, traditional sign making materials.

Within the bank's interior, guests are greeted by promotional easel signs printed and mounted on foam board.  Large format printing makes it possible to create posters and other cost-effective promotional signage.

Behind the bank's "teller row" is a large dimensional metal logo sign painted with a metallic gold finish.  The letters and logo design are cut from flat sheets of metal (typically aluminum, but other options are available for the fabrication of metal dimensional letters in a variety of materials and finishes).

Architectural building signage can also involve directory and wayfinding signage such as was used for a new town hall project.

The variety of sign materials and signage systems gives the sign designer/fabricator and the client many good choices for selection in both indoor and outdoor applications.

How do you want your staff and clients to perceive your business or organization?  The use of attractive and effective commercial and architectural signage will make a statement regarding your company's attention to detail, level of professionalism, and strength within your industry or market.
