Why cruise around in a plain Jane vanilla golf cart when you have three different ways to customize it with vinyl golf cart wrap graphics? Whether you use carts in the neighborhood, on the course, on campus, in parades, or even offroad, make your cart stand out! (And why not advertise a bit while cruising?)
A full color vinyl wrap on a golf cart will cover most or all of the painted areas of the cart's fiberglass body with digitally printed graphics (nearly infinite color options including photographs). Based on your design intentions, you might choose to avoid putting graphics on the flat vertical surface behind your feet, but you'll likely want to at least cover that area with wrap vinyl that is at least a solid, complementary color to the rest of the wrap design.
(yes, this is more of an ATV than a golf cart ... but you get the idea!)
In all cases, the installation of the vinyl wrap material will have fewer seams if hardware is removed before the wrap is applied to the body (seats, switches, windshield supports, brackets, etc.). In addition, it's critically important that the surfaces be cleaned extremely well in order to help the wrap vinyl stick to the surface. Some golf cart bodies are made from plastics that are what we refer to as "low-energy" plastics, and a successful wrap might require a vinyl material with a higher tack adhesive.
A partial wrap or the use of die-cut decals can be a more cost effective way to customize a golf cart without the materials and labor required to do a full wrap. In the case of the Smoothie King golf cart, the original finish on the fiberglass body was in such rough condition that we recommended the body be completely repainted in a base color that would complement the colorful fruit graphics (the wrap graphics would not have adhered well to the rough surface). As a result, the final assembly achieved the look of a full golf cart vinyl wrap and significantly improved the surface finish quality for an overall better outcome. The cart is used by the franchisee on Vanderbilt University's campus in a variety of promotional activities.
Instead of digitally printing the wrap graphics (we use our large format printing capabilities for that type of wrap vinyl), golf cart bodies can be customized with solid color vinyl graphics (what we refer to as "cut vinyl", which describes the fabrication process). There is a rainbow of color options available with cut vinyl graphics including metallic and reflective colors. If the body of the golf cart is a good solid base color, the use of cut vinyl graphics can create the appearance of full or partial wraps.
For Vanderbilt University's football black golf carts, we used a combination of metallic white, metallic black, and metallic gold to create custom graphics that completed the look of these impressive carts. Who wouldn't want to ride in these?
