A recent client project has presented the opportunity to demonstrate the visual advertising power of creative vehicle wrap design. Businesses such as Forklift Systems of Nashville TN are taking advantage of the cost-effective power of vehicle advertising to promote their brands to their target audience.
Vehicle advertising using eye-catching wrap design graphics
Forklift Systems has used simple vehicle graphics on their service vans for years, but the design was dated and needed a refresh. When the company made the decision to move away from standard cargo vans and to purchase new Nissan NV vehicles, they came to us seeking a new wrap design that would promote the brand and more clearly communicate the nature of their business. They purchased the high-top NV model, which expanded the visual "canvas" for the wrap design.
The business owners provided us with a sketch of their design concept, and our collaborative team of designers leveraged the concept to incorporate the brand's key red and blue colors into eye-catching graphics that became a strong visual representation of the company logo and market. In order to give the red and blue portions of the wrap some additional "texture," the wrap design incorporated some water marked photos from different parts of a standard forklift machine. The colors and overall arrangement of the wrap graphics really "pop" when you see this large vehicle in person!

Forklift Systems was able to provide high resolution photos that were modified and incorporated into the vehicle wrap design. Note the logo "stamp" that was imposed on the crate and the positioning of the forklift photo on the vehicle side to share the vehicle's wheel with the forklift's wheel.
A high-res picture of a company employee standing in the back of the van was used to create the rear portion of the vehicle's wrap design. Perforated window vinyl on both the rear and side windows allow the graphics to cover a larger area while still providing daylight visibility from within the vehicle to the outside.

To help reduce project costs, the large phone numbers on the front quarter panels and the logo graphic above the windshield were printed and "kiss-cut" (cut to a particular outlined shape) and applied as decals separate from the wrap that covers the rear 3/4 of the vehicle. By taking this approach with the wrap design on a white vehicle, we reduced the need for additional wrap vinyl and the associated costs.

The wrap design for Forklift Systems' new vans accomplishes some important aspects of branding and fleet vehicle advertising:
- The design is consistent with the brand's logo and colors, thus helping to ensure continuity between the wrap design and other company advertising media
- The design visually communicates the company's area of focus for its target clients (in this case, this communication is accomplished through photographs)
- The design is simple but bold and professional
- The design clearly presents the client's preferred method of contact (by phone)
