Dozens and dozens of vehicle wraps and banners and hundreds of signs . . . as the year is drawing to a close, we thought it might be fun to go over what 12-Point SignWorks actually did in 2013. Of course, it would be impossible to talk about all the things we did in one blog post—it's been a whole year after all—but here are some of the happenings and goings on of the last year.
We were able to work with a lot of great charitable groups and events this year! We wrapped a bus for ABLE Youth of Nashville, a mentorship and athletic program for children and teens in wheelchairs. Justice Industries, an organization that provides entry level, sustainable jobs for chronically under-employed people in Nashville had us put graphics on their van. We also worked with Nissan USA to make the banners and outdoor signage for the annual Chukkers for Charity event sponsoring the Rochelle Center and Saddle Up! of Nashville. Both charities help people with disabilities gain independence and confidence. Nissan sponsored the event and we designed all of the signage for them!
Rich did the design work for all of the Nissan Chukker's for Charity signage.
This year we also started branching into more electric lit signs. We've always been able to make them, but we just haven't done very many for some reason. Help us fix that in 2014, why dontcha? Still, this year we've had fun doing a handful of electric signs like these channel letters for Neelz Thread Spa at the Coolsprings Galleria in Franklin.
Channel letters are a great way to attract attention to your store and to suggest stability and professionalism to potential customers.
We've been expanding our portfolio when it comes to installing wall wraps and graphics, as well! Although we didn't do the design work, we did do the installation for this awesome sports-themed wall mural for the LIDS Locker Room store in the A-Game sports training facility in Franklin. We also put up some really cool wall graphics designed by Birdsong Creative for Interior Design Services of Brentwood, TN.
Wall murals can look really cool! They're a great way to make a big impact that doesn't have to be permanent.
Of course, we always do a lot of dimensional signs! Whether it's acrylic, wood, metal, or a mixture of them all, dimensional signs like the one for Fritts & Associates pictured below have been a super popular way to identify a business this year.
This was a fun project because we made signs for a father and a son who owned two different businesses in the same building: Fritts & Associates and Fritts Financial.
This year we increased the number of vehicle wraps and graphics we installed by quite a bit! This included the fleet vehicle wrap we did for Robertson Family Water pictured below. This wrap we designed and installed was featured on the blog of wrappermapper.com—a directory for certified wrap installers.
We designed and installed this image of crystal clear water!
We turned it up a notch with this "groovy" lighted trade show sign for Teradactyl in California. These guys definitely wanted to go above and beyond for their trade show display, and they certainly did by ordering such a professional looking sign! And yes, we know that's not how you spell "pterodactyl," but that is how you spell the company name :)
Our friend, Chris, from Teradactyl was really happy with how his signs turned out!
Sign letters have been another popular choice this year. They're nice because they're easy to install and easy to rearrange if you'd like to change the wording of your signage. We even made a short video on how easy they are to install for those of you who might live too far away for us to install them for you.
These sign letters were for The Competitive Edge sports eye training facility in Franklin.
Lastly (but certainly not leastly) we've done a handful of instrument wraps for famous performers this year. Remember the piano we wrapped in silver for Alicia Keys to use for the National Anthem at the Super Bowl last spring? We also did a steampunk piano design for a pop singer (who shall remain nameless) during the summer. In the fall, we wrapped a bass and a piano for Kelly Clarkson's televised Christmas special, Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Tale that aired mid-December. We seem to have an instrument wrap every season, don't we? We'd certainly like it to stay that way!
Everyone wanted to get in on the action while wrapping the bass.
Thank you to everyone who helped make 2013 such a banner year and we hope to work with you again in years to come :) If you've never worked with us, contact us below to start the conversation! Let us give your signage a makeover for the new year.
