It's hard to believe another year is coming to a close. Where does the time go? Our 12-Point SignWorks team saw a lot of change, many additions, and a whole bunch of signs and vehicle wraps in 2014. We feel very blessed by the vendors, customers, team members and friends whom we've worked with throughout the year. As we wrap up the year (no pun intended!), we thought it would be fun to reflect on the ins and outs of our year and some exciting changes we have in store for 2015!

Branding for 2015

The new year is bringing a new look to 12-Point SignWorks. Murray and Rich have been working hard in 2014, creating a new branding guide for us. Our updated logo is one part of our new branding project. Although the design is new, the meaning behind our name and the compass design of our logo remain the same. The new logo is one that you will be seeing on our website, our social media, our advertising, our displays, and even on our building! Yes, we finally have a new sign hanging proudly above our door to Suite 900. :)

We also have a line of company clothing, vehicle wraps and displays that you will be seeing as we work our way through 2015. You will see our slogan, 'Create As One', more and more as well. (You can read a little more about our slogan below.)

New Toys! (Ok, so it's really New Equipment, but it's like having new toys for this crew!)

We saw the arrival of some really fabulous equipment at the end of the year. With a new printer, new plotter and new laminator - along with some new software - we are creating more and more amazing projects on a daily basis! To our Roland VersaCAMM 54" color printer/cutter and our Royal Sovereign 55" Roll Laminator, we added three amazing new toys! We now have an HP Latex 360 64" Wide Format High Production Printer. The new features on this printer save our team some precious time that they can use creating signage and designing graphics. We also added a Graphtec FC8600 Series 64" High Performance Cutting Plotter. We now can print and cut separately, which allows us to produce more quality projects in a shorter amount of time. A Royal Sovereign RSC 1651LSH 65" Wide Format Roll Laminator completes our new team of hard-working toys in the shop. Our printers and plotter are housed in large room right off of our lobby, allowing our visitors and customers a glimpse of the jobs we are working on. Come in and take a peek!

New Products to Share

We are all about trying new materials and displays, and we found a keeper with this line of Spennare products. From pop up displays to retractable banner stands to brochure holders (and more!), the Spennare product line does not disappoint when it comes to top-of-the-line quality, innovative design, and ease of use. Our Expansion

You've possibly heard us talk about it, and maybe you've even seen it during a visit to our shop. We have more space! We are thrilled to be able to have more square footage to accommodate the signage projects and vehicle wraps we do throught the year. We've been able to work on extra large vehicles under the cover of our shop roof with the addition of our 14' tall garage door. (Did you see the French's Shoes & Boots 36' trailer that we wrapped? It was BIG.) We also can safely wrap more than one vehicle at a time while fabricating multiple signs, laminating vinyl, weeding excess material off of cut vinyl, and packaging completed signage to be shipped. Yes, we can do all of that at the same time in just our shop. Amazing.

The French's Shoes & Boots trailer fit nicely into our expanded shop...even at 36' long! 

We are happy to report that with the expanded shop space has come additional work orders...so our time to focus on our interior decorating in the front of the office has been a little limited. We hope to have our lobby and meeting area completed in the next few months. Please come visit and let us know what you think!

Team Building

Having a strong team doesn't happen overnight. We are thankful for our leader, Murray, who knows that and constantly strives to make us better as individuals and as a team. We had the chance to participate in a training meeting in October that evaluated our individual personality traits and our entrepreneurial behaviors. By looking at these, we were able to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses and how they apply to our positions at 12-Point. It was enlightening and hopefully will keep us constantly aware of our need to work together, or 'Create As One', to be successful.

Murray also shares with us any insight he receives through seminars, conferences, and even plain ole good books. We all received copies of the book "Uncontainable", a book written by the Chairman and CEO of The Container Store, for Christmas. The book is noted as being an "inspiring message of hope that it's possible and joyful to create a business where everyone associated with it thrives." We are fortunate to have Murray at our helm, leading us in a thriving environment and reminding us to count our blessings every day.
