Posted on July 12, 2019 | Posted by Kris Williamson

Looking for an easy way to add privacy, branding and/or decorative elements to your corporate space or storefront? Etched glass vinyl is an excellent choice. This material takes ordinary glass windows, doors and mirrors to a whole new level!

Etched glass vinyl (also called frosted glass vinyl) gives the appearance of etched glass. It allows light to pass through while also providing privacy, which makes it an ideal solution for glass doors & windows, conference rooms, and storage areas. Etched glass vinyl can also be digitally contour cut to create unique patterns, designs and intricate lettering.

In the example above, the “etched” words provide privacy and decoration for a conference room. The words also set the tone for employees and visitors as they walk by.

The image below shows an example of printing on etched vinyl. We installed this window graphic on the front door at Liveminds Adventure Escape in Franklin, TN. The owner provided the artwork, which we printed onto the etched glass vinyl using our flatbed printer. Pretty cool front door!

Businesses also use etched glass vinyl for branding on interior office doors. The frosted window graphics in the photos below for 2700 Charlotte Ave, an apartment complex in Nashville, TN, give the branded doors an upscale, professional appearance. Much nicer than plain glass doors!

The frosted vinyl shown in the images below provide privacy for offices at Franklin Synergy Bank. To make the doors more appealing and to reinforce the bank’s brand, the bank’s pineapple logo was also cut out of the vinyl. This is called the reverse cut method.
