Nonprofit Organizations Get the Word Out with Custom Advertising Wraps

Posted on May 20, 2016 | Posted by Kris Williamson

Since the value behind advertising wraps has been shown in mobile advertising studies, it makes sense that they would be priceless additions to the nonprofit organizations in our community. We've had the honor of partnering with some of our local nonprofits to design, fabricate, and install the advertising wraps that help these wonderful organizations get the word out. Typically installed on donated vehicles, the vinyl wraps offer what no other form of marketing can do: 24-hour visibility each and every day of the year.

We recently completed a project for Agape Animal Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to finding forever homes for abandoned and misplaced dogs. We had the privilege of assisting them with a wrap in 2013 on a Lexus RX330. At that time, we worked with them on the design, and this time around they wanted to replicate something similar.

For the recent wrap, we adapted the original design to fit a 2004 Honda Element that was donated to them by a generous and compassionate family. Since the painted surfaces of the Element are much smaller, we adjusted the design to fit every possible space that we could, and we even included some of the windows.

To maximize the advertising space, we added printed perforated vinyl to the rear windows. The perforated vinyl allows the driver (and passengers) to see out of the windows while continuing the design on the outside of the car. In this case, it provided extra space for contact information, the Agape logo, and a special 'thank you' message. Check out the sweet shout out they gave us about the completed wrap on their facebook page!

We've also partnered with Habitat for Humanity, a worldwide organization, for the installation of advertising wraps for our two local affiliates: Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. For both projects, Nissan North America donated the Nissan NV vehicles to the affiliates. Since the Greater Nashville vehicle was completed first (in 2014), we had a little extra work to do. We took the art files provided by Habitat and formatted them to the NV template. Once approved, we printed and installed the wrap on their NV.

When Williamson-Maury contacted us a year later about their donated NV, we only had some simple changes to make. We changed 'of Greater Nashville' to 'Williamson-Maury', adjusted the contact information, and we were ready to print and install!

The branding reflects the information for the Williamson-Maury affiliate.

The hinges are a little different on the two Habitat vehicles, and the reason for that explains why we recommend neutral colors for vehicles getting advertising wraps. For Greater Nashville, the original paint color on the NV was white. The advertising wrap easily blended with the white so we wrapped around the hinges.

You can see the white hinges on the back of the NV. They blend nicely with the design!

For Williamson-Maury, Nissan NA provided the affiliate with an NV painted midnight garnet. Unfortunately, that color did not blend with the design. To work around that, our talented team wrapped all painted surfaces, including the hinges, with the blue floor plan design. When you see this NV on the road, there isn't a single fleck of paint showing!

Our work with nonprofit organizations doesn't end there! We've also worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of both Middle Tennessee and Rutherford County - formatting, printing, and installing advertising wraps for their fleets of buses. Our work began with six buses for the Middle Tennessee organization. We then worked on three buses for Rutherford County. Currently, we are in the process of wrapping four more for Middle Tennessee! We are so excited to be part of this work and know that this long-standing organization is meeting the needs of children all over Middle Tennessee.

We enjoy supporting our nonprofit organizations in and around Middle Tennessee. We serve the Franklin, Brentwood, Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Hendersonville communities, but we don't stop there! Our services extend nationwide - from coast to coast.

If you have vehicle advertising needs, let us know how we can help! We've worked on anything from one to a fleet of vehicles! You can reach us at (615) 595-6564 or by clicking on the link below.
