We’re located just down the road from Nashville, which means we get to do some pretty cool work for our friends in the music industry. Piano wraps are one of our most exciting and popular projects. Whether for a special performance, temporary transformation or long term use, it’s amazing how a piano can take on a whole new, refreshed look with just a little vinyl!

Our installers are true craftsmen. They take their time to ensure every piece of vinyl is meticulously applied.

Wondering why someone would choose vinyl over paint? High performance wrap vinyl provides a number of benefits:

• A wide variety of colors and textures are available.
• We can also create original graphics that can be printed on the surface of the vinyl.
• Wrap vinyl easily stretches and conforms to the contours of pianos.
• The vinyl has an “air release” feature which makes application easier, without the issue of unsightly air bubbles.
• Wrap vinyl is relatively easy to remove from the piano’s original finish without causing damage and leaving residue. (Ease of removal depends upon the condition of the piano’s finish before application.)

During installation, pianos are often dismantled which allows us to wrap the individual components, including the legs, bench, pedal tree, lid, lid prop, fallboard, etc. We work hard to meticulously hide the seams and cut edges so that the piano wrap will look as much like paint as possible.

Since opening our doors 10 years ago, we’ve wrapped many pianos and other instruments for well-known artists, piano manufacturers, music instrument firms, private owners, hotels and other businesses. Our piano wraps have appeared in several big events, including two Super Bowls, Christmas specials, Opryland displays, concerts and even a movie!

We would love to tell you about all of the cool piano wraps we’ve installed over the years (and especially some of our most recent work), but unfortunately most of the piano wrap projects we do are confidential. But we’re not complaining....we’re just truly happy and honored to do the work! :-)

Fortunately, there are a few notable projects we can tell you about. The photo below shows a steampunk piano wrap we custom designed, printed and installed for a performance by Taylor Swift. Seale Keyworks, the company who hired us for this project, installed large spinning gears and lights on the back side of this piano. We appreciated the design challenge, to create a piano wrap that would look like distressed, aged metal (including bolt heads, gears, and clockwork action mechanisms). Pretty cool, right?!

Notice how the gears in the design align with the real turning gear on the back side of the piano. 

The photo below shows a matte black piano wrap we recently installed for the Hutton Hotel in Nashville. To see or play this beauty, all you need to do is rent out the Hutton Suite penthouse!

This matte black wrap gave the otherwise shiny gloss finish on this piano a whole new look!

We installed a full color change wrap for Alicia Keys for the 2013 Super Bowl. For this project, we worked with Yamaha Entertainment Group and Seale Keyworks to transform a baby grand piano from black to matte silver. The vinyl was removed shortly afterward. We also had the opportunity to install the vibrant red piano wrap pictured below for Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas special several years ago. In addition to the piano, we also wrapped a bass in the same red vinyl. Read 12-Point SignWorks Wraps Piano and Bass for Kelly Clarkson to see this project!

The contours and curves in the bass were much more difficult to wrap than the piano, but our installers pulled it off beautifully!

As you can see, piano wraps can take an ordinary piano and make it extraordinary! A vinyl wrap can be customized in many ways and can also be installed for temporary usage. When installed for long term use, piano wraps can look great for many years.
