We've talked about wall (including textured surfaces) and window graphics before, but do you really know what goes into producing and installing them? We can tell you how we turn an idea into an impressive and informative graphic display. Our professional approach sets us apart, keeps our clients coming back, and brings new clients our way every day.
The Proof
Sometimes it's difficult to convert an idea from the image you have in your head to the final product on a wall or window. That's where a proof comes in. We begin just about every project with an estimate of cost and a visual proof of how the finished product will look. With photos of where the installation will take place, we can superimpose the graphics onto an image of the wall or window to truly show the scale and impact of the design. At times, we've had clients change the color or size of the artwork based on how it looked on the proof. (Let me add that this is a much better time to make those changes than after the graphics are installed.) The proof is a valuable part of the creative process that benefits both the client and the sign company...us.
This proof shows the window graphics for the Carter House and Carnton Plantation that we created for the Battle of Franklin Trust. The proof allows changes to be made before they are printed, cut, and installed.
This proof shows the window panes and vinyl graphics for an Ascend Federal Credit Union location in Nashville. As you can see from the notes and arrows on the proof, this is an updated version that includes changes to the graphics. You can see the installed graphics in the photo below!
The Materials
Materials matter, and that is why we use top-of-the-line, premium vinyl film. We've partnered with suppliers to ensure that we have the 3M, Avery Dennison, or other select brand of material when we need it. Lesser quality materials will not look as crisp and vibrant and will not last as long. We keep an inventory of our most commonly used materials so that we can offer the fastest turnaround time available.
The Equipment
Premium material doesn't shine without superior equipment, and we have two large format printers that produce exceptional digitally printed graphics. Each printer has its own strengths, and we know which one will work best for which project. Our printers produce bold colors, crisp edges, and high-resolution images that become impressive wall and window graphics. It's always fun to see what's coming off of our printers, and we invite any client or potential client to come by for a tour.
The installed graphics! (Looks a lot like the proof, doesn't it?) Premium vinyl materials and a quality printer ensure that the letters are crisp and the brand colors are an exact match. The custom graphics were digitally printed on perforated window film and installed on the interior of the window panes.
We fabricated and installed a combination of window and wall graphics for The Urban Juicer's newest location in East Nashville. This photo shows the design you can find on the wall by the juice bar. Head over there and check it out!
Having a high performance cutting plotter also helps when working with vinyl. The plotter creates the cut vinyl lettering that is used for interior and exterior displays, including the hours and contact information that you see on so many business doors. Having the plotter allows us to create beautiful wall and window graphics, using the extensive colors available in vinyl material.
We used our client's artwork to plotter cut the beautiful words above on matte black vinyl. We installed the cut vinyl on the walls of the changing room area for House of Belonging in Franklin. Luckily, we didn't have to install each word individually!
The Timing
We understand how valuable advertising is for any business, and we efficiently use our time to meet our clients' deadlines to the best of our ability. Wall and window graphics offer effective marketing opportunities, and we want them installed as quickly as you do! Understand that projects have various levels of detail, material requirements, intricacy, and design time that impact the time needed for production; however, we have been known to have some tricks up our sleeves to make things come together in the desired time!
The Installation
Once production is complete, one extremely important and crucial step is left: installation. A sign company can create amazing projects all day long, but they will not look amazing if they are improperly installed. At 12-Point SignWorks, we train our installers for every material, mounting surface, weather condition, logistical detail, and any other tiny circumstance they could encounter. Sometimes a graphic does not require an expert installer, and other times the client wants to take on the installation. If that's the case, we include the necessary instructions and mounting supplies needed to ensure that the project goes on a window or wall with ease and perfection. Even when a question comes up, we are a simple phone call or email away.
Walls and windows often go unnoticed, but they offer the perfect canvas for creative and effective graphics. They can be used for powerful branding and business recognition.
