If you're like most people, your March Madness bracket is probably a bust. If your teams are still in the tournament, you should probably go buy a lottery ticket right about now. And I mean now. In keeping with the spirit of competition during the month of March, we wanted to share our own stars. No, not the awesome 12-Point stars who work here (save that for a later post), but our custom vinyl wraps that have fought their way to the top.
In order to determine our 12-Point Final Four, we looked at our most popular Project of the Week posts from the beginning of time. (Well, the beginning of our time!) Obviously, our older posts have gotten more views than some more recent ones, which made it a little difficult to leave them out. (It's kind of like knowing the No. 1 seed is really great, but the No. 10 seed just scored more points. We're talking about you, Syracuse!) However, we stuck to the numbers (points?), and here are the the top four - not in order of greatness.
BSA Troop 86 Custom Trailer Wrap
Using a background of high resolution leaves, we designed this custom trailer wrap to highlight the exciting camping outings of Troop 86 from Brentwood TN. Two maps, one of the U.S.A. and one of Tennessee, were featured on the sides of the trailer. Custom arrow head decals were designed to be applied to the maps after each camping trip, showing the boys just how much ground they covered on their adventures. On a side note: Our 12-Point SignWorks company name actually originates from our owner's involvement in the Boy Scouts of America as a youth. (Did you know Murray is a third generation Eagle Scout?) You can read more about our company's foundation on our About Us page.
I'm not sure what's cuter - this helmet or the little face that it framed! There's nothing better than seeing a little fella with a custom cranial orthotic helmet wrap. We designed this one-of-a-kind helmet just in time for the mini Air Force pilot to attend a Halloween party with his properly clad parents. It included aviator goggles, a compass, and a strip of brown leather on the back for and added touch of texture.
Although this helmet won out in the competition, we couldn't pass up a chance to feature another version that does not have its own dedicated write-up. Since each orthotic helmet is customized to the condition, helmet style, and wearer, each template and wrap is a little (or a lot!) different.
This one isn't in the running, but it could be!
Truck Graphics for a Harley-Davidson F-150
Our customer, a true Harley dude, wanted custom flames for his 2003 Harley-Davidson Ford F-150. What's special about that year? Both Ford and Harley-Davidson celebrated their 100th anniversaries in 2003. Since the truck already had Harley-Davidson branding on it, it just made sense to add custom stripes in bright red and Harley-Davidson orange that turn into flames. Although the vinyl addition is simple, it makes a pretty grand statement on the black paint of the truck. This just goes to show that a little goes a long way!
Mini Cooper Custom Kaleidoscope Vinyl Graphics
Some projects take a little more time than others, but the end results are so worth it! This was the case with the intricate cut vinyl car graphics we designed, die-cut, weeded (to get the excess vinyl out of the way), and installed on our customer's white Mini Cooper. The car looks so unique, and we get the pleasure of seeing it out and about. Yes, it was a timely process, but we would do it all over again in a heartbeat!
So that's the breakdown of our Final Four in our custom vinyl wraps division. What are your picks for the championship and winner of our 12-Point SignWorks bracket? Let us know in the comments below! As for the real NCAA Tournament, Syracuse surely contributed to the demise of most brackets; however, we are always thrilled to watch an underdog fight their way to the Final Four...and possibly the championship?
