Reliant Bank recently celebrated the opening of a new branch in Murfreesboro, TN. To create a hometown feel at the new branch, Reliant Bank worked with design firm NewGround of St. Louis, MO to design locally-inspired acrylic photo displays, branded product panels and dimensional letters for the waiting/hospitality and office areas at the new branch. 12-Point had the privilege of fabricating and installing these pieces prior to the branch's grand opening. Let’s take a look at the beautiful new displays!

These black and white photo displays and tagline provide customers with a sense of community when they enter the Murfreesboro branch. 

One of Reliant Bank’s main goals when planning the new branch’s interior was to convey a strong sense of community. The lobby’s color palette was designed with soothing colors and black and white photos that pay homage to Murfreesboro’s heritage. Photos include the city’s historic square, train depot, and Oaklands Mansion. In addition to the historical photos, modern imagery of Murfreesboro was also installed along with the tagline, “LET’S GROW TOGETHER Murfreesboro.”

To create the acrylic photo displays in the waiting/hospitality area (shown above), we started with ¼” thick pieces of acrylic painted grey for the back panels. (These panels were custom painted to complement the dimensional lettering.) For the top panels, we printed the black and white photos second surface on ½” thick gloss clear acrylic panels. During the second surface application process, the printed graphic was reversed and printed on the back sides of the clear acrylic substrates for viewing from the front. For the office areas, we used ¼” thick pieces of brushed aluminum composite to create the back panels. The images were printed second surface on ½” thick gloss clear acrylic. The two images below show examples of the photo displays in the office areas.

The branded product panels (with a green stripe in the photo above and blue stripe below) were designed to show the bank’s core products, like rewards checking, free checking, online bill payment, mobile banking, and home equity loans. We fabricated these panels using the same brushed aluminum composite for the back panel. These product displays (like the rewards checking) included both second and first surface printing to create a layered look. We also applied grey vinyl on the back of each panel to help the graphics stand out (and to complement the dimensional lettering.) These were installed in the branch offices.

To add dimension, we printed the branded product displays using both first and second surface printing. This means we printed on the front and back of the clear acrylic.

In addition to the photo displays and branded product panels, we also fabricated the “LET’S GROW TOGETHER Murfreesboro” lettering, along with other dimensional letters for the main lobby. The letters were laser cut from ⅜” acrylic and then custom painted grey. We installed them on the wall in the hospitality area and on various cabinets in the waiting area. The photo below shows the word “Learn” installed on one of the cabinets.

We love the way these dimensional letters look on this cabinet! 

The new acrylic photo displays, branded product panels and dimensional letters do an excellent job communicating the bank’s mission to provide hometown banking, while still offering the latest in technology and banking services. Similar custom displays will be created for more new Reliant Bank branches in the near future.
