Our customers find us in a variety of ways: telephone, website, social media, and sometimes just by walking in our front door. That's how we had the pleasure of meeting Derek from Brentwood Blind Company. Derek stopped by our shop to discuss an advertising wrap for the company's 2012 Ford Transit Connect. After going over the basics of the wrap process and creating an estimate, he was ready to move forward with the transformation of one of their vehicles.
Derek spent some time with one of our graphic designers to discuss how he wanted his vehicle to look. After the meeting, he emailed us the logo for the company and also some photos of products that he wanted to incorporate in the design. We took his provided artwork and combined it with some stock photos that complimented the layout.
Although we had the photos and information for the wrap, we needed to modify everything so that it would all come together and fit Derek's vision. In order to do this we:
- Rebuilt the photo of the blinds to give a high-resolution image that showed the beautiful wood grain.
- Adjusted the shades to enhance the fabric's texture and incorporate a touch of blue.
- Included a person so that viewers would identify with the products.
- Listed products available from Brentwood Blind Company (including shades, blinds, shutters and drapery).
- Added contact information so that anyone seeing the van would be able to easily get in touch with them.
Once everything was created, we put together an intial proof for Derek. When we work with customers, we sometimes need to revise a proof more than once until we truly capture the perfect design. For Brentwood Blind Company, we revised the proof for the sides and rear of the van twice before we had the design just the way Derek wanted it.
The final design - printed and installed on the 2012 Ford Transit.
One thing that you definitely will notice when looking at this wrap is the detail in the images. By using high-resolution photos, all of the very fine features are enhanced. This allows for the perfect advertisement of products that customers would want in their homes because they can truly see how the products will look.
The wood grain in the blinds is striking on this wrap design. The realistic rain drops were added at no charge! :)
The vehicle wrap was digitally printed on high performance, premium print vinyl with a protective gloss UV overlaminate. The wrap was installed on the sides and rear of the van. We also placed cut vinyl graphics of the Brentwood Blind Company combination mark logo on the hood and front doors.
The design on the rear doors of the van offers a little surprise to viewers. The hands and eyes of the woman peeking through the blinds is so realistic that it's startling. You can see in the photo below the lifelike creases in the palm of her hand. Even her eyes look like they are truly looking at you.
Advertising wrap designs that include the element of surprise most definitely get noticed on the road! We guarantee you will remember if you pass this van when you are driving around town. If you see it, let us know!
As we've mentioned before, mobile advertising (like the wrap on this Transit Connect) is one of the most effective ways to reach a target audience. We've even assisted with the design and installation of advertising wraps for businesses outside of our immediate area.
