We've recently had the opportunity to work with contractors on the renovation of Middle TN restaurants. We were approached as a resource to use our large format printing capabilities to print and manufacture some of the wall coverings that would be displayed in their newly refurbished restaurant interiors. As a result of the higher humidity levels often experienced in our Southeast region, we used a micro-venting technology to create many evenly spaced small holes in the graphics as a means of helping to prevent mold and mildew.
As you can see in these images, the graphics were very abstract and more contemporary. In order to help make life easier for the installer, we built in overlap for adjacent panels and some extra bleed for the four outside edges. The finished product shows a progressive, powerful new design change, much different than a standard interior.
Technical specs on the micro-vented wallcovering process can be found here, in one of our recent blogs. Essentially, the prints are laminated, then fed through a machine that punches micro-holes into the panels for breathability, allowing moisture to escape from behind the graphics, thus heavily reducing the growth of mold and mildew.
Our large format printing capabilities, combined with the availability of many unique and textured wallcovering materials, makes possible the creation of beautiful and unique custom wall murals. Contact us today to discuss your wall mural project!
