Custom painted acrylic and brushed metal make a great looking combination for custom dimensional logo and lobby signs.  When we were contacted by Barbieri Orthodontics to fabricate a contemporary dimensional logo sign for their Nashville, TN location, we knew right away what materials would accomplish the goal.  The client had an idea of a logo sign in mind, so we met with them at their location and identified the placement, size, and feel of the area where the sign would be mounted.  The client also had all vector logos and files ready, so we had exactly what we needed to work with in order to get started.  We discussed a few concepts back and forth with the client and finally settled on the idea of a blue acrylic background with the stylistic “B” of their logo finished in brushed aluminum.

Once we agreed on materials and construction, we matched their existing logo standards’ PMS color with a custom paint color for the circular acrylic background.  Using 3M VHB tape, we mounted the brushed aluminum “B” logo to the painted face of the ¼” blue circle. The circle shape itself was fitted with holes in the rear for stud mounting into the wall.  This mounting method also provides ease of removal should they choose to relocate their practice in the future.

Once fabrication was completed in house at our shop, we scheduled the installation.  Using a custom stud mount template, we selected the location of the sign on the wall, drilled our stud holes, and slid the sign into the drywall to complete the stud mounting.  The finished results took the client’s clean and simple logo design, added the dimensional pieces and elements to brand and complement their practice and services, and created a very attractive visual centerpiece right in the line of sight for every customer that comes through the door.
