Addiction Sound Studios is a fairly new sound and recording studio in Nashville, and they contacted us to create a custom dimensional logo sign for their lobby.  After some brief conversations, we received pictures of the intended mounting location between two very cool looking sconces on the wall.  It's a location that is clearly seen when you first walk in to the studio's lobby.  Armed with some measurements and a vector file of their logo, we began to construct a few ideas for their sign.  We finally settled on the idea of a frosted acrylic panel incorpating their "A" logo icon in dimensional 1/4" cut black acrylic and the rest of the logo details to be black and a deep red cut vinyl.

After some mockups were exchanged, we began fabrication.  Since the routing of the dimensional acrylic takes the most time, we fabricated a sign panel from P95 frosted acrylic and began laying out the cut vinyl for the rest of the text and logo elements.  One of the obstacles we were faced with was the challenge to find some standoff hardware that would complement the look of the adjacent sconces.  We usually use standoffs with a brushed aluminum finish, and the client's sconces featured a copper/patina look - not a perfect match!  After conducting some supplier research, we found some matte black standoffs, and that final component brought the whole sign together. 

Once all the pieces were fabricated, we mounted the dimensional letter to the face of the acrylic panel with double sided adhesive tape and added the cut vinyl elements afterward.  We then headed up to their incredible facility in Nashville and mounted the logo sign in their lobby for them as a final touch to finishing off the look of the lobby.  We thank Addiction Sound Studios for working with us on their custom dimensional logo sign project!
