The Embassy Suites of Cool Springs (Franklin TN) rolled out a world's first - a Nissan LEAF electric vehicle stretched into a limousine! The hotel's close proximity to Nissan North America's headquarters made this a natural fit.
Because the limo is intended to serve both private (think brides) and corporate (think execs) who likely wouldn't want to show up to their respective events in a vehicle screaming "Stay at my hotel!", the vehicle graphics branding the LEAF needed to be subtle.
The LEAF's paint is a pearlescent white, and standard car wrap print vinyl is a bright white ... not exactly the most compatible combination from an aesthetics perspective! Consequently, we pursued the use of some materials not typically used in conformable vehicle graphics. The material has the look of a silver etched glass - and is generally used on flat surfaces like plate glass. But when printed with one of Embassy Suite's corporate brand colors, it made for some very attractive vehicle graphics.
Shown above at its official unveiling at the Embassy Suites of Cool Springs in Franklin, TN, the LEAF limousine sports a "flying leaf" from the hotel's logo as well as the slanted "E" on the rear quarter panels. A vanity license plate on front and smaller identity graphics on the rear completed the subtle branding package.
The interior of the LEAF limo is surprisingly roomy, and the converter did a nice job with the finishing details.
And what use would an electric limousine be without its own charging station right out front of the hotel lobby?
