Here's a new twist on Halloween fun!  A hayride through a zombie city ... while loaded with paintball guns!  Miller's Thrillers of Columbia TN put together a custom trailer outfitted with paintball guns and recreated the storefronts of 120 feet of downtown historic Franklin TN as a zombie-occupied city.  The 17 foot tall cityfront was created using vinyl banner materials attached to a wooden framework.

For the sake of installation, the original digital design file for the cityfront was divided up to print a number of smaller banners, each approximately 5' x 25'.  We used large format printing processes to produce the banners, and each banner was reinforced along the left and right edges.  We also put metal grommets into the left and right edges every 12" to give the client some means of fastening the banners to the framework.

As you can imagine, a large wall of this kind can become a "sail" in windy conditions, so several slits were cut into the banners to let some wind pass through.

We're just missing photos of the zombie paintball hayride in action ... complete with costumed zombies!  You'll have to visit in person for the full experience (but the author's 9 year old son claimed it to be a lot of fun!).

Vinyl banners can be used for many indoor and outdoor events.  The rugged nature of the banner material (vinyl coated over a fabric "scrim") makes it a relatively long-lasting product for temporary events.  Our full-color printing capabilities allow us to print any images including photographs.  We also recommend the use of a matte finish banner, which reduces the glare from the sun or external lighting and makes the banners easier to read.

We've also used mesh banner materials for a variety of outdoor events where wind load is of concern.  It's a more expensive product, and the printed images aren't as "crisp" as when they're printed on a standard vinyl banner material, but the mesh also greatly reduces the wind load, especially when the mesh banners are attached to outdoor stages.
