When Sandra Shepherd, pastor of the Bellevue Presbyterian Church, brought by her "Woolly Wagon" for a custom car wrap redesign...we smiled.
Fun and colorful was the design concept, while "Feed 'em" was the theme. Based on Jesus' admonition to the apostle Peter to "feed (His) sheep", Pastor Sandra gave us the initial idea from the previous wrap on her Rav 4, and told us to "run with it"! (the original wrap looked "tired" and was printed in such a way that there were several vertical seams on the doors).
She wanted to convey every type of sheep in the fold, so we used multiple colors and patterns, showing that anyone and everyone is welcome at Bellevue Presbyterian Church. She particularly requested a plaid and a denim sheep, so we used nice high resolution images to create those textured looks. The following images highlight some of the fun and colorful details within the wrap design:
The installation of the wrap was a little challenging due to what we call "compound curves". For instance, the corners of the vehicle curve in several different directions, such as a ball. To get the vinyl to stretch and conform, while still maintaining the integrity of the material and the images themselves, requires some skill which, we are happy to say, our installers have.
One of Sandra's last requests was to include a QR code on the printed vinyl graphic covering the spare tire. The QR code is used by smart phones to take the browser to the church's website.
When Sandra came by to pick up her "Woolly Wagon 2.0", she was very pleased, and because she was very pleased, so were we.
Please feel free to check out Bellevue Presbyterian Church and while you're there, give the "Woolly Wagon" a closer look!
