This logo sign we made last week for Iron Funding, a financing company specifically for the construction industry, is a perfect example of a great bargain for signage. It looks professional and well-made, but they chose cost-effective options to get a great deal. 

It looks great, but it's actually one of the simplest kinds of signs that we make!

At four feet wide, this sign will fit just about anywhere, but it's still plenty large enough to be seen and to do the job of identifying their office. They supplied their own logo and design, so for us it was only a matter of fabrication.

Harry is applying VHB tape to the back of the acrylic letters before they get attached to the aluminum composite panel. VHB is an extremely strong adhesive so once they go down, they're stuck for good!

We used ACP as a backer but a clear acrylic sheet would have worked just as well. The letters and logo graphic of the excavator are made out of cut acrylic that has been covered by digitally printed vinyl. We cut out a template into a piece of vinyl that we place over the aluminum panel to let us know with complete accuracy where to place the letters and logo graphic.

Harry and Chuck are carefully peeling off the template, being sure to not bump or move the acrylic elements.

After placing the letters and graphics on the template, the vinyl template is peeled off and we're left with a finished sign!

The sun behind the excavator is a cut piece of digitally printed vinyl, adding a more layered look to the already dimensional piece.
