Deloitte, the world-renowned financial consulting service, recently came to us to get some updated signage in the lobby of their branch in Hermitage, TN. Because they bring clients into their lobby and waiting room on a regular basis, they wanted something to display that fact that Deloitte is a global company that is continually growing.
They wanted unique signage that was cost-effective and that would stand out well against their brightly painted walls in their offices. One of the walls is a bright lime green and another is a vibrant blue! To fit their requirements, we decided to use glossy cut acrylic letters and graphics for their signage. The glossy sheen of the acrylic makes the shapes pop against the bright matte wall, and the fact that the acrylic is slightly raised makes it stand out even more and gives the signage real dimension.
Acrylic is a great material to use for signage because it's fairly inexpensive in relation to other sign materials, a large number of stock colors are available so you'll rarely need to special order or manipulate a particular color, it can mimic the look of metal or glass for less cost, and it's lightweight and pliable enough for easy cutting and installation. Because Deloitte wanted something to signify that they are a global company, we created a laser-cut map of the world to sprawl across their wall.
See how it's raised? It really makes a statement against the green wall!
In addition to cut graphics of the continents, we also provided deep blue cut acrylic lettering for Deloitte. The installation went up smoothly using a vinyl template to make sure everything went up evenly. The acrylic was attached to the wall using strong VHB tape—which is the type of tape manufacturers use to install dashboards in cars.
We really enjoyed creating and installing this signage! If you're looking for your own interior signage or display, click the button below to get the conversation started with a 12-Point SignWorks representative!
