We just completed a fun project for our friends at Nissan of Cool Springs. They needed a custom advertising wrap for their 2016 NV2500 High Roof parts van. Since we love wraps on Nissan NV Cargo Vans, we were excited to design a layout for them. We created a full coverage wrap that includes some special features and stunning high-resolution graphics. 

Although many advertising wraps are digitally printed onto a single layer of high performance vinyl material, sometimes you need additional layers to create the look you want. For the Nissan parts van, we utilized layers of vinyl to put together the eye-catching (and sometimes changing) graphics.

 Layer one! We digitally printed the graphics for this portion of the wrap on 3M 1080 Matte Gray Aluminum wrap film with a matte laminate finish. We installed the printed vinyl to the sides and the forehead of the van. The material creates the base of the design and allows the next layer of vinyl to really stand out when the van is in the sunlight.

To the sides of the van, we added digitally printed graphics, including the gorgeous bright red GTR,  and cut vinyl lettering with a gloss finish. For the red brandmark, we created an "embossed" look by edge wrapping a square piece of PVC and adhering it to the sides of the van. 

In the photo above, you can see the magic that happens when sunlight hits the 3M Matte Gray Aluminum material. The light causes the wrap to turn almost a bright white color that washes out the printed graphics and really makes the Nissan logo and the red GTR stand out. 

 This photo shows the opposite effect when the sunlight isn't hitting the graphics. On this side, you can perfectly see and read the digitally printed graphics on the matte aluminum material and the cut vinyl lettering. The photo above also reveals the "embossed" look of the red Nissan brandmark.

We completed the front of the NV2500 parts van by wrapping the hood with a digitally printed graphic of the red Nissan brandmark. Above the front bumper, we used solid 3M Matte Gray Aluminum vinyl to cover the white paint of the van. To the forehead, we applied the Nissan of Cool Springs logo in reverse. If you are looking at the front of the van, it looks like something is off; however, the words make total sense if you are glancing in your rear view mirror. It's like magic. 

We added fun custom graphics to the rear of the van. The edges were wrapped in the 3M Matte Gray Aluminum to complete the color transformation of the van from its original white paint. We applied digitally printed vinyl with a gloss finish to the back of the van. To enhance the look of the "inside" of the van, we applied additional printed graphics with a matte finish to areas behind the person carrying the boxes. This creates depth with the design and makes it look more realistic - as if the doors truly are open. 

The front and rear of the van are just as visually appealing as the sides. The red brandmark really makes an impact on the hood of the van. And the rear...well, just look at the picture. Watch out! A guy carrying boxes is about to drop them out of the van! Enough said.
