Many of our clients have great ideas and just need our help to turn them into reality. One of the most innovative architecture & engineering firms we work with is Gresham Smith. Designer Casey Fay recently hired us to fabricate custom displays for recruiting. These geometric towers are making a big impression!

These very cool displays are lightweight and easy to quickly build and dismantle.

Casey wanted to create a unique display unlike those that you normally see at college career fairs, trade shows and other events. He came up with a concept for a beautiful, uncluttered, interlocking display to showcase the Gresham Smith logo and photos of the firm’s projects.

Following Casey’s instructions, we printed the black and white logo graphics and high resolution photos first surface on large panels of 6mm PVC using our flatbed printer. We cut the graphics into nine 21” x 22” panels for each tower.

PVC is a great choice for these displays. This durable substrate allows for great ink adhesion and consistency.

We then used our digital flatbed cutter to router cut grooves on the top and bottom of each panel. These slits allow the panels to interlock. 

Our flatbed cutter allows us to provide a wide range of cutting and finishing solutions.

Casey’s design for these custom displays was so complete, that he also included instructions for custom carrying cases made from coroplast for easy storage and transport. The carrying cases created a nice presentation. Way to cover all the details!

We’ve fabricated nine custom towers to date for Gresham Smith. One tower was recently used during an engineering fair at the University of Kentucky. Here’s another look at one of the towers from another angle. We love how this lightweight display only takes up a small amount of room but makes a big impact!
