NiteLights of Nashville definitely tops the list for some of our most unique branding projects. We've installed vehicle graphics on their company vans and trucks and also installed graphics on their Can-Am ATV a couple of years ago. It's the most recent project that really places them in the unique category. We created custom foam fittings and installed the NiteLites logo on two hard saddlebags for their owner's motorcycle.

It's difficult to transport lighting samples to customers if you're driving a motorcycle. Solution: Purchase hard saddlebags; however, these present a new issue. How do the lighting samples safely get transported while you're traveling on the road? We designed the perfect fix with custom saddlebag fittings made just for their products.

We took the sample lights and created a template for each to have its own designated spot in the saddlebags. We then laser cut sheets of foam to create the proper openings, making sure that they weren't too big or too small. The layers were bound together to make a single insert for the saddlebag.

Once all of the items were inserted, a final foam piece was created for the top. This piece of foam anchors all of the lighting samples into the saddlebag so that they don't get tossed around while being transported on the motorcycle.

This project presented a unique challenge, which we always enjoy. We were able to design unique production files and create something new with our in-house laser machine, using materials that our day-to-day projects don't often require.

The assembled project! Here are both saddlebags with one open, showing the foam insert and lighting samples. The extra foam piece goes on top of the samples to secure them into place. When it's time to ride, everything is locked down with the interior straps.

We couldn't finish the saddlebags without adding the NiteLites logo to the exterior of them. To create these, we laser cut the lettering out of brushed steel Rowmark. The letters were mounted onto the hard saddlebags to truly complete the look.

Our project didn't end there! When we had the saddlebag inserts complete, our customer brought in the actual motorcycle so that we could install a partial wrap and logo decals onto it. We wrapped the fuel tank in carbon fiber vinyl and added the 'NiteLites' logo in carbon fiber to the windshield and upper fairings. We'll add more photos soon! This project shows that it doesn't require much to really personalize any bike or trike.
