One of the most iconic and treasured neighborhoods in Nashville is Music Row. It’s considered the heart of Nashville’s entertainment industry and is home to the Historic RCA Studio B, where legends like Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley recorded many of their greatest hits. In addition to radio stations, record label offices, and other recording studios, it’s also the new home of one of the most beautiful and unique residential buildings in Nashville….The Morris!
The Morris is a new luxury apartment building located in the heart of iconic Music Row in Nashville, TN.
A luxury, mixed-use apartment community in the heart of Music Row, The Morris is designed to offer an authentic Nashville experience for its music-loving residents. Its location was once the home of the production stage for Dale Morris, a legendary manager to well-known artists such as Kenny Chesney, Alabama, and Old Dominion. Two of the most exciting features of the upscale complex are its music theme and collection of country music memorabilia. We were honored to help create signage and elevator wraps to showcase Dale Morris’s legacy and collection within The Morris!
To create the music theme, LMC, the real estate development and operating company for The Morris, contacted us to design, fabricate and install the wall signs that would be on display alongside photographs and memorabilia throughout the new building. Because the open house was quickly approaching, the timeline for this project was just a little more than one week from the beginning design phase to final installation. So needless to say….we were feeling the time crunch!
Our graphic designer, Torrence, worked with LMC to create the look and feel for the wall displays. Torrence used wording provided by LMC and created proofs to show his recommendation for how the displays should appear. After the proofs were approved, the signs were ready for printing and installation.
Our graphic designer provided proofs to LMC to show exactly how the wall signs would appear after printing and installation.
Our team printed the signs on matte black acrylic using our large format flatbed printer. The signs were installed using 1-inch gold standoffs. Standoffs create an eye-catching, dimensional effect, because they allow signs to “stand off” from the wall. This effect also provided a more up-scale appearance to match The Morris’s decor.
The signs were installed in the main lobby, mailroom, leasing office, on various floors, and on the penthouse level. They were placed alongside Morris’s songwriting guitar, autographed guitars from Alabama’s final tour in 2003, photographs of Morris, memorabilia from Alabama’s temporary Nashville home, and also next to a photograph of one of Kenny Chesney’s highly successful stadium tours!
Custom signs were installed under Dale Morris's songwriting guitar and two autographed guitars from Alabama's final tour in 2003.
Custom signage was placed alongside photographs of Morris, his family and some of the iconic artists that he managed.
This custom sign explains the story behind the amazing photograph of just one of Kenny Chesney's massive stadium concerts!
In addition to wall signs, we also printed and installed large-scale, music-themed elevator graphics! LMC provided us photographs of epic concert performances by Kenny Chesney, Alabama, and Old Dominion. The photographs were printed on vinyl using a second surface process on our HP Latex wide format printer. During the second surface application process, the graphic printed on the vinyl was reversed and applied on the backside (or second-surface) of the clear substrate (glass) for viewing from the front side.
Our team of talented installers worked with staff from The Morris to remove the elevator glass. They applied the vinyl images to the back side of the glass so the images would show through to the inside of the elevators. This allows the images to not only be protected from wear and fading, but also provides a more polished, professional look.

As residents move into The Morris, we’re sure they will appreciate the legacy of their new home’s iconic location and the memorabilia that surrounds them.
