Meet Melody. She's a 1965 pearl white VW Transporter from Texas. She now lives in Middle Tennessee and displays beautiful flowers in vibrant colors for you to purchase in trendy areas around Nashville. She joins two other VW Transporters that make up the Amelia's Flower Truck fleet. If you haven't met her or her counterparts, you are missing out on an experience reminiscent of the flower stands in New York City and across the pond. (No pun intended, if you know what I mean.) We've had the pleasure of meeting all three as we've outfitted each with their custom vinyl graphics.
We first met 'Amy' (the original truck) a little over a year ago. Amy is a 1962 agave green VW Transporter that made the trek to Tennessee from California. Due to the success of Amy and Amelia's Flower Truck, we had the opportunity to meet 'Rory' in July of 2016. Rory, a 1962 dove blue VW Transporter, is a local who was rescued from a barn right here in Tennessee. Melody is the third member, and they make quite a family! (See, I did it again. Who sees the connection? Amy, Rory, Melody...)
The graphics for each truck have been a little different, but they all use the same Amelia's Flower Truck logos and lettering in some combination. For Melody, we digitally printed the logo graphics and added a protective UV gloss laminate. We also used dark gray cut vinyl to fabricate the remaining truck graphics to match the approved layout.
Isn't she lovely? We used printed vinyl graphics for both doors and cut vinyl graphics for the sides and back of the truck. The lettering on the bed says they do events, deliveries, subscriptions and fresh cuts.
Now you know where to find everything you need to know about Amelia's. No excuses.
We know you will notice these vintage beauties on the road, but if you want to track them down, check out their website. They are parked most days in trendy Nashville spots like The Gulch, Imogene + Willie, White's Mercantile (Nashville location), and now the Sunday Market in Franklin. Sometimes the weather keeps the family from coming out, and sometimes they head home early when they sell out. Yes, that does happen! If you pass one of the trucks on the road, give them a wave and a honk. I'm sure they will appreciate the love!
