One of the most rewarding aspects of our job is watching our customers’ expressions when they come in to pick up their vehicles after a new custom vehicle wrap has been installed. One particularly excited customer was BlueCore Technologies. We recently designed, printed and installed a new tech-inspired partial van wrap for the Middle Tennessee-based IT Services company. Let’s take a look at how this van went from aging and plain to “WOW” in just a few days!

BlueCore offers planning, strategy and management of IT networks and systems for small to medium sized businesses across Tennessee. Their clients come from many backgrounds and industries. In order to provide IT services to multiple companies across the state, BlueCore relies on their 2011 Ford Transit Connect van.

When we received the call from BlueCore, they explained that the plain, white van was looking a little rough and needed a makeover. They had been using the van for client visits for years, but were becoming concerned that the aging van was leaving a less than positive impression. Of course, they also wanted to take advantage of the power of vehicle advertising. Here’s a photo of the van before the new custom wrap was applied.

To create the van wrap’s tech-inspired design, our graphic designer used BlueCore’s website as inspiration. He also used the website to ensure the correct logo, fonts, colors, text, and branding consistency were included. He incorporated sprockets and a wrench to represent the work that BlueCore does (to build and “fix” IT systems and keep them maintained like “cogs in a wheel.”) He also included close-up photos of servers in the vehicle wrap’s background.

Here’s a photo of the original proof that was presented to BlueCore prior to printing. Pretty cool design, wouldn’t you agree? 

Our graphic designer created this design proof to show BlueCore how the van would look after the new vehicle wrap was installed. 

Once we received an enthusiastic thumbs up for the design proof from BlueCore, we printed and installed the custom wrap on high performance vinyl using our wide format HP printers. A laminate was applied to the vinyl to ensure UV protection for many years to come.

Here are a couple of photos of the van wrap installation process, which took just a couple of days. Notice the attention to detail. This van had a lot of contoured areas, so the extra detail work was important. Our installers care about the quality of their wrap installations, and it shows!

Our installers carefully applied every section of the custom wrap. We treat every new vehicle wrap with the same level of detail and care!

And here’s the cool, new van! Although this van is seven years old, it looks refreshed. We’re certain the professionally designed, brightly colored custom wrap will get lots of attention and will bring new customers to BlueCore for many years to come!
