Our partnership with Harpeth Christian Church (HCC) - previously Harpeth Community Church - dates back to 2009, and we are happy that our relationship has continued to grow over the years. If you are familiar with their location in Franklin TN, you know that they recently completed an addition to their campus. We worked with them to produce and install directional signage and wall signs to help folks navigate around the new building space.
Directional (a.k.a. wayfinding) signage is a necessary component for any building space that welcomes people who may not immediately know where they need to go. For the new HCC space, we created and installed signage that identifies specific areas of the building and also points people in the right direction to get to other areas.
The photo above does a fabulous job of showing some of the signage we installed at HCC.
To create the signage, we digitally printed the graphics on Arlon DOF 8000 white vinyl film with a protective matte laminate. We used a vinyl material with a high-tack adhesive because of the low-VOC paint that had been applied to the walls. FYI: No- or low-VOC paint can cause adhesion problems for vinyl applications. We counteracted that with a product that works on hard-to-stick surfaces.
We contour cut the letters and shapes according to the approved layout from HCC and installed the graphics around the new building space.
The printed contour cut graphics welcome people into the HCC Information Center.
The photo below shows additional areas where the printed black vinyl graphics were installed. It also shows one of the custom projecting wall signs that we fabricated and installed for the restrooms around the building.
Directional signage and projecting wall signs offer a sense of comfort to those who may not know where to go in a new building.
The custom bathroom signs were fabricated on clear acrylic panels with stainless steel wall clamping hardware. To the clear panels, we added black cut vinyl graphics, including the icon for the restroom designations. White cut vinyl was applied over the black for the text.
The restroom signs project out from the wall, making them easy to see as people are walking down halls and across rooms in the HCC building.
In addition to the graphics and signs we installed for this project, we've also completed many other projects for HCC. These include:
- Custom banners (advertising special worship series and events)
- Cut vinyl graphics
- Custom signage
- A-frame graphics
- Window graphics
- Yard signs
