We’ve proudly provided business signage solutions for Franklin Synergy Bank (FSB) for the past 9 years. To continue the bank’s growth in Middle Tennessee, FSB recently merged with Civic Bank & Trust (CBT), requiring the rebranding of its Nashville, TN location. Let’s take a look at the custom signage we fabricated and installed for FSB’s newest branch.

Because this location wasn’t new construction, many of the original signs were reused (or retrofitted) with FSB’s logo and brand colors. To start this project, we conducted a site survey to take pictures of the original signs and to make appropriate measurements.

We conducted a site survey at the West End location to determine what types of signage would need to be replaced, as well as take photos and measurements.

After visiting the branch, we began the design and proofing process for each of the signs. After receiving approval from our contact at FSB, we then began the fabrication process. Here are several of the new signs we created for this project:

Halo Lit Signs

We fabricated four new halo lit signs with the FSB logo and brand colors. These 12’ x 4’ acrylic signs have a solid face with illuminated push-through LED lighting inside the cabinet.

To create the “halo” effect, the internal LED lighting shines around the aluminum letters and logo, not through them. This creates an elegant black and white lighting effect at night.

The beautiful new halo lit signs are now a vibrant blue with the aluminum letters painted white and gold.

Dimensional Logo Signs

We fabricated two 70” wide dimensional logo signs to replace the original CBT signs behind the teller’s counter and in the stairwell. To create each sign’s dimensional effect, we adhered a sheet of brushed gold Rowmark to a sheet of ⅜” thick black acrylic and then laser cut the lettering and pineapple brandmark. We fastened the signs to the walls using very high bond adhesive strips.

Frosted Vinyl

To create privacy, we installed frosted vinyl (also called etched glass vinyl) on the glass doors of the offices. We removed the original bands of frosted vinyl on two of the front offices and replaced them with solid bands. The bank’s pineapple brandmark was reverse cut in the vinyl on all of these surfaces.

We also installed frosted cut vinyl logos and letters on two sets of double glass doors at the front and back entrances. As you can see from these installations, the etched glass vinyl added a beautiful, upscale look at the new location.

The new frosted vinyl provides both privacy and a touch of class to these windows and doors.

Exterior Custom Signs

To complete our work at the new branch, we also replaced the vinyl on several wayfinding (directional) and general information signs around the building’s exterior. All of these signs were changed from red to FSB’s signature blue colors.

These directional (wayfinding) signs were covered in new vinyl to match the bank's brand color. 

The new branded environment at this branch not only gives the building a fresh, elegant look, but also clearly identifies it as an FSB branch.
