As a "dog" person, I truly enjoyed watching our latest Project of the Week come together. We've designed many advertising wraps for clients but had never transformed a trailer to look like an oversized dog kennel. That's exactly what we did for Gunner Kennels and their company trailer. You won't miss seeing this trailer on the road and, if you have a dog, I recommend you look into the products that they offer.
We were approached by Gunner Kennels to help them with the advertising wrap design for their trailer. We had their logo, photos, and contact information to use for the layout. A quick comparison of the dimensions for the trailer and their featured kennel revealed that the proportions were perfect for transforming the trailer into an extra, extra, extra, extra large dog crate. (How big? Think Clifford the Big Red Dog BIG!)
The dimensions of the trailer were perfect for us to showcase the kennel and blaze orange tie-down straps. I'd love to see the dog that fits into that crate!
We used high resolution photographs of the kennel, the signature blaze orange tie-down straps, and Gunner (the British chocolate labrador and face of the brand) to create the majority of the wrap design. We added the Gunner Kennels logo and contact information to complete the proof. Throughout the entire design process, we worked with Addison Edmonds, the founder of the company, to make adjustments until we had the layout just how he wanted it.
With the design complete, we created print files for the wrap. We digitally printed the graphics on Avery MPI 1005 EZ vinyl with an Avery DOL 1060 gloss overlaminate. We applied the graphics to the sides, rear, and the V-nose of the trailer.
The passenger side of the trailer, showing the side of the crate, tie-down straps, logo, contact information for Gunner Kennels, and the one-and-only Gunner.
The driver side is almost identical to the passenger side; however, we did install the wrap around the door of the trailer.
We couldn't resist including a photo of the trailer with one of the actual Gunner Kennel dog kennels. It's all about safety for man's best friend. As they say: Man's Best Friend deserves Man's Best Kennel.
When the Center for Pet Safety names your product a 2015 Top Performer for dog crates, you should let people know who you are. That's exactly what Gunner Kennels did with their new advertising trailer wrap. We enjoyed this project and know that the wrap will attract a lot of attention on the road, driving specialty crates to locations across the country.
