There is a story behind every project we complete in our shop, which makes every sign, display, and vehicle wrap even more special. We recently completed a dimensional logo sign for the lobby of Franklin Periodontal, and it has a very sweet story. The practice belongs to Dr. Daniel K. Ebb, and he's had his Franklin office for 18 years. (You could say he's quite a fixture on Forrest Crossing Boulevard!) His office had a piece of artwork hanging in it, but his wife, Kelly, felt that a logo sign would be more fitting. She worked with us to surprise her husband with the custom sign for his office.

We worked with a simple business card to design the dimensional sign. (Our designers can get pretty crafty around here!)

We recreated the logo from the business card and used the new artwork to layout the initial proof. We worked with Kelly until we got the size of the sign and the scale of the text just right. Finally, we had it just the way Kelly wanted it!

Once the proof was approved, the sign went into production. We fabricated it with a 1/4" thick frosted acrylic backer. We used our in-house laser to custom cut the letters out of 1/4" thick black acrylic with a simulated brushed metal face and mounted them to the backer. 

The angle of this photo shows the layer of 1/4" thick black acrylic behind the brushed metal face. It also shows the way the 'F' and the 'P' intertwine in the logo. We were able to capture that perfectly with our in-house laser machine.

The sign was installed using four satin finish aluminum standoffs. The new sign truly brands the space and makes an impact on the wall of the office. What a great surprise!

The brushed steel of the sign takes on a gold tint in this photo - a result of the reflection from the paint color in the room. The sign looks very professional on the wall of the office.
