12-Point SignWorks' Signage Projects Of The Week

Making Vehicle Wrap Wishes Come True With Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee

Here at 12-Point SignWorks, we are grateful to have a team of outstanding graphic design experts and a skilled production team. Together, we have built long-term connections with multiple organizations and businesses by helping them create beautiful custom signage and eye-catching advertising wraps. Although we chiefly focus on commercial and advertising wraps, we can't resist extending our services to unique and awe-inspiring opportunities like our recent custom vehicle wrap project with Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee.

Beth Torres, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee, contacted us in January to help the foundation grant the wish of 19-year-old Devin S. from Spring Hill, Tennessee

His wish was to have a car makeover of his 2004 Nissan 350z, which included a custom full wrap design of his choice.

Since the majority of our wraps installations are for commercial advertising, our production team was excited to get started on this project and couldn't wait to make Devin's wish a reality!

In February, our creative director, Torrence, and our owner, Murray Johns, met with Devin, his mom, and his Make-A-Wish Wish Coordinator, Emily Scott, to look over different vinyl color samples and blends that best suited Devin's ideas.

After Devin picked the wrap color he wanted, our creative director and production team began working on the first and most challenging step—preparing the vehicle before installation.

"The car was not only aged, but there were various layers of paint previously applied. The process of removing the paint took a week to accomplish," Torrence explained.

After we overcame the preparation challenge, it was finally time to begin the fun part— the INSTALLATION!

Our production team began the installation process by first dismantling the bumpers and lights. Then they carefully wrapped the vehicle, paying special attention to all of its curves and grooves.

After many hours in the shop and constantly stepping back to admire how great the wrap looked, it was finally time for the big reveal.

Words cannot explain how much it meant for us to have this opportunity to partner with Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee. Seeing the smile and speechless reaction from Devin's face is priceless and something our team will never forget.

Torrence and his team made me feel at ease through the whole process and I appreciated him keeping me updated on the progress. The icing on the cake was how thrilled Devin was when he saw his newly wrapped car!” -Emily Scott

We want to thank Beth Torres and Emily Scott for being phenomenal at what they do for Make-A-Wish. They were delightful clients to work with and, hopefully, this isn't our last time helping them make a special person's dream come true.

Our Creative Director Torrence and Devin with the Completed Custom Vehicle Wrap “My favorite part is always the completion of the project. Seeing the face of the customer makes it all worth the struggles,” Torrence joyfully stated.
