One of the greatest joys of working in the custom sign and vehicle wrap business is the opportunity to work with organizations that make a huge impact in our community. We recently had the pleasure of printing and installing a custom wrap for one of our favorites, the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT.) Let’s take a look at this fun, new wrap!

The Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee's cool new van wrap contains artwork provided by Bridgestone.

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), headquartered in Nashville, TN, recently announced the renewal of its partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). Over the past three years, BSRO has donated more than $4 million to BGCA to help improve the lives of club kids and teens nationwide through its Driving Great Futures initiative.

As part of the campaign, BSRO donated money to the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee to purchase a 2018 Toyota Sienna van, along with a full coverage custom wrap. We worked with Dan Jernigan, president and CEO of BGCMT, who provided us with the van and design (supplied by BSRO.) Our designer modified the artwork slightly to fit the Sienna. He then created a proof (pictured below) to show Dan how the wrap would look after installation.

Proofs like this are an excellent way for our clients to visualize the final wrap prior to installation.

After Dan gave his thumbs up, we printed the artwork on high performance vinyl and then applied a laminate to provide UV protection. This wrap also included perforated window vinyl on the middle and all back windows to create a cohesive look. Perforated window vinyl has tiny holes in it and is used to make graphics that appear opaque from the outside, but are still “see through” when sitting inside the vehicle. Our talented team installed the full coverage wrap and perforated vinyl. Here’s how the new van looks now! Pretty cool!

What a great way to support our local kids!

The newly wrapped van was presented to BGCMT’s club members on Nov. 8 at Cleveland Park Club in East Nashville. It was unveiled during a ceremony which included a marching band and police escort. Now that sounds like an exciting event!

Dan and his team at BGCMT are looking forward to using the new van to transport middle and high school students to workforce development opportunities, college tours and other events. We’re sure this van will be shuttling kids around Middle Tennessee for many years to come!
