For the last two seasons, the Vanderbilt University baseball team has made quite an appearance at the NCAA Tournament, reaching the College World Series finals both times! Actually, they've been to every NCAA Tournament but one since 2004. Pretty impressive! We've designed and installed signage and custom wraps for many of the Vandy teams, and we recently had the pleasure of updating the designs and wraps on two of the baseball golf carts.

The first step in this process was updating the overall design. Let me tell you, one of our graphic designers really knocked this one out of the park. (I know, I know.) The golf carts previously had partial wraps and spot graphics. After two impressive seasons, including a National Championship, we wanted to give the team new designs so they (or maybe new recruits) can ride with pride!

We started with the 6 passenger golf cart. We already had some of the images that VU wanted to use in the design, and they sent us a few additional high-res photos. Their main request was that we feature the baseball superstars in the design, and I think you will recognize quite a quite a few faces that have gone pro.

We placed the stand out players in the layout and added the official Star V logo in a repeated pattern to the background of the design.  

 There's Dansby Swanson who was selected first overall in the 2015 MLB draft! He signed with the Arizona Diamonbacks (in case you didn't already know).

 Here's a view of the other side. You may recognize the face at the front...David Price! He was a star pitcher for the Commodores for three seasons and then was selected first overall in the 2007 MLB draft. He currently pitches for the Toronto Blue Jays.

For the front of the cart, we used gloss black vinyl with the Star V logo and Vanderbilt Baseball centered in the middle. When you see this cart coming, you will know who's representing inside! The rear of the 6 passenger has the Star V repeated all the way around, which compliments the same logo that's embossed on the custom seats.

For the 4 passenger golf cart, VU asked us to create a design to honor the 2014 National Championship team. We used the Star V background in the design for this cart as well. According to our talented designer, he wanted to use the stars since the baseball team is filled with superstars! Awe...so sweet.

Just like the 6 passenger, we used gloss black vinyl for the front of the cart. Instead of using the Star V, we added the National Champions logo to the front of this cart, of course! 

You've got to celebrate accomplishments like this! This was the program's first national title!

For both golf carts, we added vinyl trim around the tops. We think this addition to the design really completes the entire look. Our talented installers showed their skills when they did the tops. Each star is perfectly spaced and installed - even at the very back. Vandy baseball deserves perfection!
