We love projects where old meets new, and this was the case for our latest Project of the Week. But sometimes having something "old" limits your ability to add something new - like a painted logo with a vintage look. So how can you add your brand to a space with limitations on what you can do? The good news is that there are solutions! In this case, with textured surface vinyl, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination.

Brick Walls are Blank Canvases

Faith-based non-profit organization Justice & Mercy International (JMI) has made its mission to “make justice personal” for those less fortunate. A large chunk of their budget (80%) goes to programs like crisis and family care and vulnerable child and teen care, while just 12% goes to fundraising and only 8% to administration. As such, their budget doesn't leave a lot of room for custom signage. Knowing that they couldn't paint on a brick wall in their conference room, they searched for other options to add the personalization they had in mind.

That’s when JMI reached out to us about branding options that wouldn’t damage the rustic brick wall. They knew that they couldn't paint the wall, but they really wanted to add something to customize the room. We thrive on overcoming obstacles to give our clients exactly what they want and need, especially when that client already does so much for those less fortunate. In our eyes, that brick wall is just a blank canvas.

Textured Vinyl The heat-set vinyl wall graphic we designed for Justice & Mercy makes an excellent backdrop for video conferences.

Heat-Set Vinyl

They wanted to keep things simple but still big enough to make an impact. Our design team used heat-set vinyl to create a 6’x3’ faux paint graphic of their logo. It wasn’t the easiest process, but the effect was well worth the effort. The installation was accomplished with heat to ensure proper adhesion to the wall, but the graphic won’t cause any damage and can be removed should they upgrade to a new location or decide to change the wall art to something else.

Since JMI does a lot of video conferencing from this room, it ensures their branding is always at the forefront (or in the visible background). To say they were happy with the end result would be an understatement. Here's a quote from the client:

12 Point did such an incredible job making our logo pop on the rustic brick wall in our conference room. Whenever we have Zoom meetings with our international staff, it pops off the screen! Natalie and her team went above and beyond to make sure the design and print of the graphic were not only high quality but installed in a timely manner. Carlos was such a joy to work with on the installation process. We are always blown away by the care and precision that 12 Point takes in each piece they create for us.

Printed vinyl installed on textured surfaces offers endless possibilities for experiential graphics in commercial spaces that have regulations or don't allow permanent changes.
