The Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) has provided Middle Tennessee residents with exciting theatrical, musical, dance and other performances for nearly 40 years. To advertise the upcoming 2018-'19 HCA/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC season, TPAC commissioned us to print and install a huge wall mural on the side of their building, as well as print two mesh banners for the adjoining pedestrian bridge. These custom signs were designed to make a grand impression!
To create the massive 10’ x 30’ wall mural, we worked with the creative services manager at TPAC. She sent our designer the original artwork for the mural. Our designer prepared the artwork for large-scale printing by sizing it and adding additional bleed around the edges (since the sign would be installed on six individual panels with a small space in between.)
We printed the colorful graphics on high quality vinyl material using our wide format HP printer. We applied a protective UV matte finish laminate to the vinyl. Our installers then took the printed vinyl to TPAC and adhered it in sections onto six 10’ x 5’ panels that were temporarily placed on the floor.
We adhered the eye-catching wall mural to 6 individual panels that were connected together vertically during installation. Check out the gorgeous color in this vinyl!
After the vinyl was adhered, a lift was used to install the panels on the tall concrete wall which runs along 6th Avenue. This installation process was not for the faint-hearted, but the installers did a beautiful job! Makes you want to buy a ticket to one of the new shows, doesn’t it?
This 10' x 30' mural makes quite an impression!
In addition to the wall mural, we printed two 378" x 90" custom mesh banners. The provided artwork was printed on mesh vinyl material, which has tiny holes and is used for banner wraps, fence graphics, and hanging banners in high winds.
The eye-catching banners were also printed on our HP wide format printer. This created “museum-quality” banners that are vibrant and pleasing to the eye. TPAC employees installed the new banners on the pedestrian bridge which crosses over 6th Avenue.
This vibrant mesh banner was installed on TPAC's pedestrian bridge. Another identical banner was installed on the main entrance side.
This view shows the scale of the large wall mural and the location of the mesh banner. So which show will you be attending? :-)
As you can see, the new wall mural and mesh banners are hard to miss when you drive anywhere near the TPAC building at the corner of 6th Avenue North and Deaderick Street. If you’re in the area, be sure to look for them. And don’t forget to purchase your tickets to one of the upcoming shows!
Does your company have outdoor areas that could use some advertising or decoration? Our wall murals and mesh banners are a great option! We also specialize in environmental branding, custom interior signs, vehicle wraps, elevator graphics, vinyl window graphics, and architectural displays.
