Two Partial Advertising Wraps for Precision Engineering

Posted on December 08, 2015 | Posted by Kris Williamson

If you need specialized assembly and production equipment, you can rely on Precision Engineering in McMinnville, Tennessee. They are the leading manufacturer for some of the world's top manufacturing companies, including Pillsbury, Nissan, Carrier, Bridgestone and Electrolux. We love supporting local businesses, and Precision Engineering is about as local as you can get. They design, engineer and manufacture everything right in McMinnville, which saves their customers time and money. What more can you ask for?

We've had the pleasure of working with Precision Engineering and were happy to help when they wanted to design a partial advertising wrap for their Dodge pick-up trucks. Since both trucks were white, we didn't need to worry about creating a wrap that would need to work with various paint colors. They also provided us with two small model cars to use as inspiration for the design.

Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes...and speeds!

Torrence used the essence of the two cars, along with the blue and black Precision Engineering brand colors, to create a new look for the company trucks. We presented the company with some proofs, and they pulled together the items that they liked. From that, we created a final proof that tied everything together perfectly.

The finished product!

We adjusted the design to fit both trucks (since they are a little different). We digitally printed the partial wrap on Avery MPI 1005 high-performance wrap vinyl with an Avery DOL 1060 protective gloss overlaminate. Once the wrap was printed, we customized the design even more. Our team custom cut the edges of the design to create a "torn edge" look.

Customization at its finest...by some of our finest! Felix and Lee hand cut the edges of the vinyl to create a "torn edge" look.

We installed the vinyl on the sides of the trucks. Since the trucks were already white, the edges of the vinyl blended in perfectly with the white paint. Unless you are looking closely at the trucks, you can't see where the vinyl ends and the paint begins! Had the vinyl been cut with straight edges, the borders would be easier to notice.

The white paint blends in perfectly with the white edge of the vinyl. It's difficult to see where the paint ends and the vinyl begins.

Both completed Dodge pick-up trucks in the 12-Point SignWorks parking lot in Franklin, TN.

The completed trucks make quite a statement in our parking lot. These partial advertising wraps are working already - strengthening the brand and advertising for Precision Engineering.

The partial advertising wraps look fantastic on the Precision Engineering trucks. We look forward to more projects with them in the future. Look for their trucks in the Middle Tennessee area, and check out their website if you would like to learn more about what they have to offer.
