Meet our new friend, Mary Meeuwis. She’s an art lover and savvy entrepreneur who recently created Nashville Mural Tours, the next big thing in Music City’s tourism industry! Mary called us to design, print and install the vehicle graphics for her new passenger van. We also had the pleasure of taking a team outing last week to experience her fun and educational tour. If you love art and plan to visit or live near Nashville, this is the tour for you!

Mary was thrilled to see the new vehicle graphics on her van!

Located in trendy neighborhoods like 12South, the Gulch, West Nashville, East Nashville, downtown, and the Nations, Nashville’s murals have quickly become a popular attraction among tourists and especially anyone who loves art. Murals such as the soaring angel wings in the Gulch, “I Believe in Nashville” in 12South, and the painted Silo in The Nations are the perfect background for amazing Instagram photos. Plus, each one has a unique story.

As for starting her tour company, that happened by accident. Mary took a self-guided tour of many of the murals with her family back in November and realized there was a need for a local mural tour in an air conditioned/heated vehicle. After 14 years as a middle school science teacher, Mary decided it was time to start a new venture. And that’s how Nashville Mural Tours was born!

To create the partial van wrap and vehicle graphics for her newly acquired 15-passenger Ford Transit van, Mary worked closely with our graphic designer. He created a design layout based on the Nashville Mural Tours logo, which included a partial wrap and contour cut graphics. He provided Mary a design proof to show her how the completed van would look. Once he received Mary’s enthusiastic approval, we started digitally printing the vehicle graphics on premium vinyl and then added laminate for UV protection.   

The partial wrap (which is a tribute to one of Mary’s favorite murals) was installed on the rear panels on each side of the van and the entire back door. We also contour cut Nashville Mural Tour’s logo, web address, phone number, Facebook and Instagram handles, as well as the skyline of Nashville. These were installed above the windows and on the side door panels and back door.

Our professional installers worked hard to ensure the graphics were properly aligned and looking great. 

Here’s a look at Mary’s completed van! Pretty cool, right? The new graphics capture the spirit of the beautiful mural art, while also providing the information needed to effectively advertise Mary’s business.
