We've kept this amazing project bottled up too long, and we just have to share it now that there are TWO amazing vintage trucks on the road. We completed the first custom graphics installation for 'Amelia' (a.k.a. 'Amy') back in March, and we just added graphics to 'Rory', the newest addition, this past week! Both vintage Volkswagen Single Cab Transporter Pick-Up Trucks make up the unique fleet for Amelia's Flower Truck, a flower shop on wheels that brings the beauty of fresh blooms to a neighborhood near you. If you haven't met Amy or Rory, you're missing out!
Amelia's Flower Truck was created out of an admiration for the flowers that can be so easily found along the big city streets of New York, Paris, London and Milan. Amelia's owner, Mattie, wanted to bring the ease of buying fresh flowers to Nashville, and a mobile shop out of a vintage truck was the perfect solution. After a glimpse of these trucks, we think you will agree too!
We met the first truck, a restored 1962 VW Transporter, in March. It had traveled to Nashville all the way from California. We installed digitally printed decals of the Amelia's Flower Truck logo to the doors of the single cab.
We love the Amelia's logo - it just fits everything about the vintage mobile flower shop.
The side panels on the bed of the truck drop down to expose the shelves full of gorgeous cut flowers and bouquets.
To the back of the truck, we applied cut vinyl graphics in white and black to add the name, website and social media icons. You most definitely will notice this restored truck while driving around Nashville. I can only imagine how wonderful it smells too!
The trucks are parked in trendy areas around Nashville, including White's Mercantile on 12th, Imogene + Willie and Hillsboro Village - just to name a few! The fresh flowers are sold out of tin buckets that align the shelves in the bed of the truck. This has to be the most picturesque way to purchase a bouquet of flowers!
How can you resist stopping to purchase a bouquet of these beautiful flowers?

For the second truck, adorably named Rory, we only used cut white and black vinyl for the custom advertising graphics. Similar to Amy, we added the name to the doors of the VW truck and also installed the contact information and social icons to the back of the truck.
Here's the mock up image for the graphics on Rory. You'll notice some differences from the first truck. The presentation of the logo on the doors has changed, and we added lettering for the services offered and the website to the sides of the truck. This is a great way to educate people who see the truck while it's in motion! (Image courtesy of Amelia's Flower Truck.)
We hope to have photos of Rory in action very soon! You won't be disappointed. You also can find the latest updates on their website. Happy flower buying!
