Witty Car Graphics Add Fun to Mad Jack’s Fleet Advertising

Posted on January 14, 2019 | Posted by 12-Point SignWorks

We’ve learned that great advertising often involves a little humor. Laughter is good for the soul, so it makes sense that a little playful banter helps sell products. Our friends at Mad Jack’s Concrete & Asphalt in Franklin, TN decided to add some fun to the car graphics on one of their fleet vehicles. You won’t know whether to laugh or slow down when you see this car driving around town! ;-)

To create the decals, our designer worked with Charlie Clevidence, president and CEO of Mad Jack’s. The company’s black 2018 Ford Taurus was already outfitted with a safety light bar for use at construction sites. Charlie noticed that drivers acted differently when he or other employees would drive the Taurus, just because of the light bar. Maybe they assumed he was driving an undercover police car? That gave him an idea!

He contacted our designer to discuss how car graphics could be applied to the Taurus to resemble a police car (but still be legal of course). Our designer took the funny slogans Charlie supplied and created a fun “mock” police car design. Here’s the proof that was provided to Charlie prior to installation.

After the design layout was approved, we printed the vinyl decals on high performance vinyl. A laminate was added to the vinyl to protect it from fading and scratches for years to come.

If you look closely, you’ll notice these car graphics were meant to get a laugh! The funny slogans include:

  1. “To Protect and Pave”
  2. “National Bureau of Parking Lot Investigation”
  3. “Kickin’ Asphalt”

If you live in Franklin or surrounding areas, be on the lookout for this car! Give the driver a honk or a wave and then drive on by … no worries about getting pulled over! ;-)

Charlie also needed partial vinyl wraps for two company trucks. Here’s a photo of one of them after the graphics were installed. We love this bold look!

In addition to vehicle graphics, we fabricated and installed custom signage and window graphics at Mad Jack’s office back in 2016. We’re super happy they came back to us for their fleet wraps, and look forward to working with them again in the future!
